On June 30, 2005, the World Forestry Center Discovery Museum will open its doors after more than six months of a comprehensive renovation. All new exhibits will provide an exciting and fresh experience that will engage visitors to learn about forests and trees of not only the Pacific Northwest, but the world. The $7 million capital campaign project will completely replace the museum's exhibits to increase their educational effectiveness and to attract a growing regional, national, and international audience. Families and school groups will find hands-on, interactive exhibits that pique curiosity and encourage active learning. This will be a must-see attraction for anyone who lives in the Pacific Northwest or is visiting from out of town.
