| The Wildcat Campground is a quiet, cool, forested campground that provides an escape from the intense desert heat in the summer months. The campground is directly adjacent to the Mill Creek Wilderness. This provides an excellent opportunity for campers to see old growth dependent species such as the Pileated Woodpecker. Most of the campsites are flat, providing some easy barrier-free access. There is no nearby fishing. Deer, elk, antelopes, black bears, cougars, and birds inhabit the area. Campers can gather firewood except in timber sale areas. There are a total of 17 sites with a maximum spur of 24 feet. |
