Walton Lake Campground

Walton Lake Campground is situated among old growth ponderosa pine and mountain meadows. Fishing is usually excellent to fair. The lake is stocked three times each summer with Rainbow Trout. Swimming is a popular activity on the sandy beach (no lifeguards). Two hiking trails are located in the area. Wildlife viewing opportunities include deer, beaver, otter, muskrat, and many varieties of birds. A day-use picnic area is located near the boat launch. It includes two tables, two fire grills, a sandy beach and an accessible fishing pier. Weekends are usually full. There are a total of 32 sites with a maximum spur of 24 feet.
