Tokatee Klootchman State Natural Site sits a few feet above the ocean with an excellent view. This area is also a great place to watch for whales. The grey whale migration in specific months is amazing from this area. It is situated above the ocean, and the visitor can get an amazing view of the whales and their calves here. Sea lions like to bask in the sun on the above rocks as well. Do not touch them, they are still wild animals and very aggressive. Bird watching is a rewarding sight as well. Bald eagles, pelicans, sea gulls, and golden eagles have all been viewed nesting in and near this area.
