The Trail of the Molten Lands is in the Newberry National Volcanic Monument. From Lava Lands Visitor Center the trail loops out across the lava flow to its source at the base of Lava Butte. Interpretive signs about volcanic features on the flow. Paved trail with some sections too steep for wheelchairs. This trail is a 0.75 mile loop with elevations at 4500 to 4550 feet.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided at The Trail of the Molten Lands.

Best Time To Visit: The Trail of the Molten Lands is open summer and fall.

Fees: A parking fee is charged.

Accessibility: This trail is handicap accessible.

Rules: Do not litter. Hiking only, no horses or mountain biking.

Directions: To reach The Trail of the Molten Lands from Bend, travel about 10 miles south on highway 97.
