Tangent Loop is a short loop over Forest roads with moderate elevation gain. The ride is primarily on double track through the forest, with some open spaces filled with snowbrush and a few glimpses of Broken Top. Can be combined with the Swampy Lakes Trail Route E for a longer ride. This trail is 6 miles with elevations of 5400 to 5800 feet and is considered to be an easy trail.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided at Tangent Loop.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Tangent Loop.

Best Time To Visit: Tangent Loop is open spring to fall.

Fees: No fees are charged.

Accessibility: This trail is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Do not litter.

Directions: To reach Tangent Loop from Bend, drive 14 miles west on Hwy 46 (Cascade Lakes Hwy) to Virginia Meissner Sno-Park. Park in the Sno-Park and head north on FS 4615 to begin the route.
