Sand Prairie Campground is located in a mix stand of Douglas Fir, Western Hemlock, Cedar, Dogwood and Hazelnut. The Middle Fork of the Willamette River is within easy access and there is an access road to the south (upstream) end of the Hills Creek Reservoir. The 27-mile Middle Fork Trail begins at the south end of the campground. Fishing is good at Sand Prairie where one can expect to catch large Scale Suckers, Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout in the Middle Fork. There are 21 general sites at the campground. The maximum trailer length is 28 feet.
