Otter Point State Recreation Site

Otter Point State Recreation Site has excellent walking and hiking trails overlooking pristine beaches and unusual sandstone rock formations sculpted by wind and waves. Wildlife watching is exceptional here, because the Canada Geese and Blue Herons reside here for a few weeks out of the time that they migrate. Not only do birds get noticed here, but the marine life is booming as well. Gray whales make this a prime resting area while migrating to and from Baja, California. Sea lions are usually spotted poking their heads out of the water as well. The recreation site has easy beach access from a nearby parking lot.
