Oriental Campground is a fairly secluded campground with opportunities for fishing, swimming, and exploration of mine tailings along the North Fork John Day River. This is also a popular staging area for foot and horse traffic into the wilderness trails. Large vehicles, trailers, and low clearance vehicles are not recommended due to poor access road and limited turnaround capability. There is no potable water on site. There are a total of 7 sites.
