Ona Beach State Park is located 8 miles south of Newport, Oregon. The park is a fine, forested ocean flat that has now been developed for extensive daytime shore use. Ona beach provides easy access for beachcombing and great for large picnic gatherings. Picnicking on the shore has been popular even before the area was designated as a state park. There are picnic tables that dot the shoreline, but no group shelters are available to be reserved. Visitors with boats like to go out on the water and participate in boating activities. Such activities include water skiing and tubing. Fishing is permitted in the area as well. Other water activities include, but are not limited too, swimming, surfing, wake boarding, and wind surfing.
