Mott Segment follows the North Umpqua River, providing fishing access and scenic river views. It provides access to trailheads for Cougar Creek Trail #1507 and McDonald Trail #1515. A toilet is provided at both trailheads. Poison oak can be found along the river. This trail is 5.5 miles long, has an easiest rating, and receives light to heavy use.


Facilities: Mott Segment provides restrooms. Gas, lodging, and food are available in Glide.

Best Time To Visit: Mott Segment is open year-round.

Fees: No fee is charged.

Accessibility: This trail is not handicap accessible.

Directions: To reach Mott Segment from Roseburg, travel east on State Highway 138 to Glide. Take State Highway 138 east 18 miles to west trailhead and 23 miles to east trailhead.
