Lower Crossing Campground is situated amid pine and fir on Eightmile Creek. There is fishing for trout and swimming in the creek. The days are warm with cool mornings. Deer and small wildlife are common to the area. Moderate use, fall is best time to visit. Campers may gather firewood locally. There are 3 sites at the campground. The maximum trailer length is 16 feet.

Facilities: Lower Crossing Campground provides restrooms and drinking water. Supplies are available in Dufur.

Reservations: Reservations are not accepted for Lower Crossing Campground.

Best Time To Visit: Lower Crossing Campground is open May through October.

Fees: An overnight fee is charged.

Accessibility: This campground is not handicap accessible.

Rules: The maximum length of stay is 14 days.

Directions: To reach Lower Crossing Campground from The Dallas, travel east on Interstate 84 to U.S. Highway 197. Go south on U.S. Highway 197 to Dufur. From Dufur, go west on Forest Highway 44 about 15 miles to Forest Road 4440. Go north on Forest Road 4440 about 1 mile to the campground.
