Lost Creek State Recreation Site is developed for picnicking and beach access. This is a beachcomber's paradise. This recreation site may be small, but it has been renowned as one of the best shorelines in Oregon to observe the grey whale migrations. Not only can the giant whales be spotted from this are, but sea lions swim playfully here as well. Despite popular belief they are aggressive. Fishing on the beach, deep sea fishing, or in Lost Creek that feeds into the Pacific Ocean is a popular activity as well. The site is open year-round and there are no fees charged. Camping on the beach has become popular. However, there are no camping facilities. Visitors who decided to camp must bring their own supplies.
