Joaquin Miller Trail #219

Joaquin Miller Trail #219 is on the southwest end of the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness. The trail leads through a scenic grove of old growth ponderosa pine located on a bench approximately 2 miles from the trailhead. This stand is part of the Canyon Creek Natural Area which a portion of this trail borders. This trail is very steep and rugged. The length of the trail is 6 miles and is considered most difficult. Hiking and horseback riding are allowed.
