Islet Campground

Islet Campground is located at the north end of Waldo Lake and offers wonderful sandy beaches. There is fishing, swimming and boating (10 m.p.h. speed limit) on the lake. The winds consistently blow each afternoon, offering a cool break from the summer sun. A picnic table located on the rock jetty is a great spot to enjoy a peaceful evening watching the sun set. The 1-mile Shoreline Trail between Islet and North Waldo Campground provides a short and pleasant hike along the lakeshore. There are 55 general sites in the campground. The maximum trailer length is 30 feet. The mosquito population is high from June to mid-August and can be quiet bothersome, so be prepared.
