Hemlock Creek Trail #1505 passes through second growth and old growth forest with views of several waterfalls. If beginning at the north trailhead it travels adjacent to Hemlock Creek for a ways and ends in a mountain meadow. The trail is down hill the entire distance from the south trailhead. This trail is open to hiking, motorcycles, horses, and bicycles. Water is available along the trail for pack animals, but is not recommended for human use unless treated first. One-way trip duration is approximately one and a half hours. This trail is 4 miles long, has a more difficult rating, and receives moderate use.


Facilities: There are no facilities provided at Hemlock Creek Trail #1505. Gas, food, and lodging are available in Glide.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Hemlock Creek Trail #1505.

Directions: To reach Hemlock Creek Trail #1505 east access from Roseburg, travel east on State Highway 138 to Little River Road 17. Follow Road 17 for 16.5 miles until it becomes Forest Road 27 near Coolwater Campground. Continue on Road 27 for 3 miles to the end of the pavement, then continue another 12 miles on the gravel road to Road 2700-495, which leads to Hemlock Lake Campground. Park near the picnic area, then hike the Yellow Jacket Loop Trail #1522 .1 mile northwest until you see the trailhead sign for the Hemlock Creek Trail #1505.

To reach Hemlock Creek Trail #1505 west access from Roseburg, travel east on State Highway 138 to Little River Road 17. Follow Road 17 for 27 miles to Lake in the Woods Campground, located on the right side of the road.
