Handmaker Campground is located on the upper stretch of Rogue River among old growth fir tree forest. Expect warm to hot summer days. Fishing and rafting are available on the river. Supplies are available at Cascade Gorge. Visitors gather their own firewood. Visitors may see elk, deer, raptors and small wildlife in the area. Rogue River trail and other hiking trails are located near the campground. The maximum spur is 22 feet long. There are 10 single sites available at the campground.
