Gorge Campground rests in mixed conifer on the Metolius River. There are excellent fly-fishing opportunities in river. Wildlife in the area includes black bears, mountain lions, coyotes, deer and elk. The campground is busy during the weekends and holidays. Supplies are available at Camp Sherman. The campsite sits at an elevations of 2900 feet. There are 18 campsites and the campground allows a maximum spur of 50 feet. All of the campgrounds are developed.
