| Fall Creek Lake is a scenic 1,852 acre lake is surrounded by 22 miles of forested shoreline, providing many opportunities for outdoor recreation such as boating, water skiing, hiking and wildlife viewing. The wildlife that visits this area include mule dear, black-tail deer, bears and other smaller wildlife. Birds also nest here for part of the year. Visitors can sometimes catch a glimpse of a bald eagle, golden eagle, red-tail hawk or even waterfowl. When the waterfowl flock here for migration it is the best time to go hunting. Guests who wish to hunt must obtain the required permits. Fishing is a good recreation activity here as well. Stocked rainbow trout and steelhead make for good game. The land surrounding the lake is protected and managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide habitat for many species of waterfowl, upland game and non-game wildlife. |
