Echo Day Use Area is an ideal retreat on a hot summer day. The picnic sites are shaded by a grove of young Douglas fir and few of the picnic sites overlook Cougar Reservoir. There is boating, water skiing, swimming, and fishing in the reservoir. There are two large parking areas provided for the forest visitors using the picnic sites and paved boat ramp. East Fork Trailhead is adjacent to Echo. The paved parking area provides parking for the trailhead and overflow for Echo. There are 7 day use sites in the day use area.
