East Lake Campground is situated within Newberry National Volcanic Monument. Visit the nearby obsidian flow. Boat fishing is good on East Lake and Paulina Lake for trout and kokanee. Supplies are available at Lapine. Firewood sold or may be gathered. Horse, hike and mountain bike trails nearby. Bears are a common occurrence at all campgrounds in Newberry Caldera. Please be Bear Safe and be aware of and follow all food storage regulations. The campground provides 29 campsites and has a maximum spur of 26 feet. All of the campsites are fool-hookup.


Facilities: East Lake Campground provides restrooms, drinking water, and electricity.

Best Time To Visit: East Lake Campground is open May-October.

Fees: Campsite and vehicle fees are charged.

Accessibility: Handicap accessibility is provided.

Rules: There is a 14 day maximum stay.

Directions: To reach East Lake Campground from Bend go south on US Hwy 97 approximately 23.5 miles to forest route 21. Go east on 21 approximately 16.5 miles to East Lake Campground.
