Dry Creek Horse Camp Campground

Dry Creek Horse Camp Campground has five rustic sites nestled among pines and fir. There is a split rail fence around three-quarters of the camp with the remainder of the fence being wire. Four of the sites have four stalls each and the other has two. This camp opens April 15th and is closed by December 1 every year. Campers can gather firewood except for timber sales areas. Deer, elk, antelopes, black bears, and cougars reside nearby. There are a total of 5 sites with a maximum spur of 20 feet.

Facilities: Dry Creek Horse Camp Campground provides stock water only, no drinking water.

Reservations: Dry Creek Horse Camp Campground does not need or accept reservations.

Best Time To Visit: Dry Creek Horse Camp Campground is open April through November.

Fees: No fees are charged.

Accessibility: This campground is not handicap accessible.

Rules: The maximum stay is 14 days. The Road into this campground is NOT SUITABLE for large RV's.

Directions: To reach Dry Creek Horse Camp Campground from Madras, start out going West on Southeast D Street toward Southeast 6th Street for 0.1 miles. Turn left onto US-97 South and continue to follow for 1.9 miles. Turn left onto US-26 East for 27.3 miles. Turn right onto Northeast Knowledge Street for 0.1 miles. Turn left onto Southeast 2nd Street for less than 0.1 miles. Turn right onto Southeast Knowledge Street for less than 0.1 miles. From Prineville, take Highway 26 east for approximately 8 miles. Turn left on FS Road 33 (Mill Creek Road). Drive approximately 5 miles and turn left at end of pavement onto FS Road 3370, and travel about 2 miles to Forest Road #3370-200, on left. The campground is located at this junction.
