Driftwood Beach State Recreation Site

Driftwood Beach State Recreation Site provides access to the ocean and picnic facilities scattered throughout the shore pine. The area offers a wide, flat, sandy beach. It is also a great place for beachcombing and enjoying beautiful sunsets. Visitors enjoy a number of water activities that include: surfing, water skiing, boating, sailing, snorkeling, surfing, swimming, and wind surfing. Some prefer to take a boat out to the deep seas and go scuba diving. There are no official campsites spread throughout the recreation area, but if visitors wish to set up their own campsite they may. Bond fires are not allowed.

Reservations: Reservations are not accepted for Driftwood Beach State Recreation Site.

Rules: Bond fires on the beach are prohibited.

Directions: To reach Driftwood Beach State Recreation Site from Newport start out going south on NE Avery St toward E Olive St. for 0.1 miles. Turn right onto E Olive St. for 0.1 miles. Turn left to US-101. Continue to follow US-101 for 15.5 miles. From Waldport, Driftwood Beach State Recreation Site is located 3.0 miles north of Waldport.
