Dexter State Recreation Site and Lookout Point Reservoirs are dotted with boats. Whether visitors like to fish or boat, everyone will find a pair of convenient day-use parks on the lake. Dexter State Recreation Site, on the western edge of Dexter Reservoir, not only has a large parking area and convenient access to the reservoir, but visitors can reach nearby Elijah Bristow State Park through a system of connecting trails. An 18-hole disc golf course is now open at the park. Fishing is popular in the nearby reservoir. Trophy worthy rainbow trout and salmon has been stocked in the reservoir, and after ten years has established their own population in the reservoir. Motor boats are not permitted on the reservoir.
