Davis Creek Trail #244
Courtesy of EatStayPlay.com
Part of the Davis Creek Trail #244 travels through heavy stands of old growth and the hiker can expect to have many opportunities to view pilated and other woodpeckers. The roads to the southern trailhead are extremely rough and not recommended for passenger vehicle. There are loops at both trailheads for easy trailer parking. This trail has very little vertical relief for the first six miles from the southern end, running relatively close to the contours. The majority of the trail is in moderate to heavy timber with only a few scenic vistas. The length of the trail is 9.1 miles and is considered to be more difficult. Hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and ATV usage are allowed.
