Crane Praire Loop is a fairly flat, but not easy ride because the roads wind through Ponderosa Pine forests and lava formations. A rough tread makes it tough going for the beginner.....but not so tough that you should not at least give it a try. The views across Crane Prairie Reservoir are great and the osprey and bald eagles are exciting to watch. This trail is 10.5 miles long with elevations of 4300 to 4550 feet and is considered to be more difficult.
