Giant old growth timber, lush glades of moss and ferns, and brilliant fall colors are features of this trail. Be prepared to ford the creek crossings or look for down logs to use as bridges. The final miles of the trail climb the ridge to Railroad Gap, where a shelter stands beside Road #3232-911. This trail is 6.2 miles long, has a more difficult rating, and receives light use.
