The Cedar Grove Trail #203A enables the public to visit a natural Cedar Botanical Area located on the Forest. This area is unique since it has the only Alaskan yellow cedar trees within several hundred miles. There are several areas available to camp around the trailhead and vicinity. Parking space is limited. The length of the trail is 1 mile, and is considered more difficult. Hiking is allowed.

Best Time To Visit: Cedar Grove Trail #203A is open June through November.

Rules: Do not litter. Horseback riding, mountain biking, and ATV usage is prohibited.

Directions: To reach Cedar Grove Trail #203A from Burns, start out going west on OR-78 toward North Alder Avenue for less than 0.1 miles. Turn right onto US-395 and continue to follow for 2.8 miles. Turn left onto US-395 for 67.5 miles. Turn right onto US-26 for less than 0.1 miles. From John Day, travel west on US highway 26 approximately 18 miles to Forest Service road 21 (Fields Creek). Proceed south on Forest Service 21 for approximately 9 miles to the junction of Forest Service road 2150. Travel west on Forest Service road 2150 another 5 miles to the trailhead area.
