Buckhorn Meadows Trail #205 allows for relatively quick access to Wildcat Basin. There are unique geological formations of volcanic origin. Wildcat Spring in Wildcat Basin is one of the few good water sources in the area. Parking is difficult, but not impossible for stock trailers. The trail is 2.7 miles long and is considered to be most difficult. Hiking and horseback riding is allowed but ATV usage and mountain biking is prohibited.
