Anthony Lakes Guard Station was built as a backcountry ranger station in the 1930s situated on the north shore of Anthony Lake. This comfortable rustic cabin is situated in an alpine setting in the heart of the Elkhorn Mountains with spectacular views, small high elevational lakes, and miles of trails for day hikes. The 2 story cabin has indoor potable water, bathroom with a shower and toilet, electric lights and cook stove, refrigerator and a propane stove for heating, cookware, eating utensils and place settings. Users will need to bring their own bedding/sleeping bags, towels, personal items, a flashlight, first-aid kit, trash bags, food, and any other necessities. There is not a public telephone at the cabin, and cell phone coverage is limited.
