Mineral County Museum

The Mineral County Museum is dedicated to preserving the history and culture of the past. Mineral County has a rich history; it is part of what was once known as Esmeralda in the Nevada Territory.
Special Collections at Mineral County Museum include: early 1800's mission bells; turn of the century pharmacy; mining, fire, and railroad equipment; horse drawn vehicles; and specialized tools from the ammunition base.
There are also wildlife and fossil displays; rock and mineral displays; Victorian furniture; cameras; and vintage clothing, shoes, and hats.

Facilities: Mineral County Museum offers restrooms. The gift shop is maintained by the Museum Associates of Mineral County, a nonprofit support group for the Mineral County Museum.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to visit Mineral County Museum.

Best Time To Visit: Mineral County Museum is open:

Summer Hours: April through October: 11:00 a.m.- 5:00p.m Tuesday through Saturday
Winter Hours: November through March: 12:00 noon - 4:00 P.M. Tuesday Through Saturday.
Other times by appointment. Call during normal business hours.
