In addition to the thousands of mature pine trees lining the fairways, white sand bunkers protect large, undulating greens with water coming into play on 9 of the 18 holes.Desert Pines is located just minutes from downtown and less than 15 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. This course provides players of all abilities a fun and rewarding experience. This course was built in memory of Roy Dye, the brother of the world renowned golf course architect team of Alice and Pete Dye. The course was officially dedicated to him just before its grand opening in February, 1997, and a commemorative plaque was placed on a pine tree located in the center of the course's putting green.The clubhouse is stocked with quality merchandise including Callaway club rentals and name brand golf apparel. Duffers Restaurant serves breakfast and lunch daily and includes the Champions Room for private functions and meetings. The 20,000 square foot, two-tiered, climate-controlled practice facility features an automated ball delivery system. The range also features five target greens resembling some of the country's most famous par 3, 17th holes. The facility is lighted for day or evening practice, and also has a state of the art teaching center, with instruction from PGA teaching professionals.Food and beverage service is available, with sitting areas at each station. Clark County residents may obtain preferred rates by purchasing a Resident Card. Desert Pines Golf Club is available to resort and local residents. |
