Reservations: Advance reservations for Overton Arm are advised. Because of the growing popularity of houseboats, reservations for these should be made at least 6 months in advance. Best Time To Visit: Overton Arm is open year round. Fees: Lake Mead National Recreation Area has entrance and lake use fees. Daily and annual passes can be purchased at the entrance stations. Accessibility: Unknown Rules: A fishing license from either Arizona or Nevada, to which a special-use stamp from the opposite state is attached, is required for those wishing to fish on Lake Mead or Lake Mohave.
