Lordsburg is located a short distance from Gila National Forest, offering a wide range of campgrounds and other outdoor recreation. Nearby attractions include the Gila National Forest, and the Gila Cliff dwellings. Another option for tourists is to relive history where it happened, by riding in an Old West-style wagon, or on horseback along the Butterfield Trail.
