Cibola National Forest - Winter Sports In National Forests
The Cibola National Forest includes 1.6 million acres with elevations ranging from 5,000 to 11,301 feet. Vegetation varies from desert, up through juniper, pine and spruce-fir forest. There is year-round recreational opportunities available.

Fenton Lake State Park - Cross Country Skiing
This park is surrounded by ponderosa pine forests. Canoeing on Fenton Lake is permitted. The two mile trail is popular for hiking and cross-country skiing.

Hal Baxter Memorial Trail - Cross Country Skiing
This two-mile trail is rated "easy" and will provide scenery along the way.
