Abiquiu Reservoir - Boating, Swimming, Wind Surfing
Fishing at this reservoir and the Chama River below the dam is very popular and usually fairly productive most any month of the year. The most abundant game species sought after in the reservoir are rainbow Trout, Walleye, Kokanee Salmon, Smallmouth Bass, Channel Catfish with an occasional White Crappie, Bluegill, Largemouth Bass and Brown Trout being caught.

Cabresto Lake - Boating
This is an excellent fishing lake for several species of trout.

El Vado Lake - Boating, Swimming, Water Skiing
Located in New Mexico's northern mountains, El Vado Lake State Park offers fishing, boating, water skiing, and winter cross-country skiing. Popular fishing in this lake includes the trout and kokonee salmon.

Heron Lake - Boating

Fishing on the Rio Grande River can bring in rainbow trout, native cutthroat and brown trout in all sizes up to 18 pounds. River rafting, kayaking, canoeing, and tubing take place to one extent or another over portions of this section of the river.
