Fenton Lake State Park - Hiking In State Parks
This park is surrounded by ponderosa pine forests. Canoeing on Fenton Lake is permitted. The two mile trail is popular for hiking and cross-country skiing.

Fourth of July Campground - Medium Trails (4-8 miles)
The campground has 25 camping sites, 4 picnicking sites with tables and grills. There is also drinking water available as well as vault toilets.

Hal Baxter Memorial Trail - Short Trails (1-3 miles)
This two-mile trail is rated "easy" and will provide scenery along the way.

Manzano Mountains State Park - Hiking In State Parks
This state park contains five miles of trails that encircles the Manzano Mountains campground. The campground offers 37 developed sites and seven that are full hook-up.

Rio Grande Nature Center State Park - Hiking In State Parks
The nature center offers naturalist-led hikes, bosque exploration, exhibits, hands-on activities, teacher workshops, seasonal classes and special events for visitors of all ages.
