The Pancho Villa State Park is different from most state parks. This one is also a historic battlefield. It was March of 1916 when the soldiers of Mexican General Francisco "Pancho" Villa attacked the small border town and military camp at Columbus, N.M. Not only can visitors see many remains of the battle, but they can also camp here and enjoy the playgrounds.
