Rules: This campground is located within the Lincoln National Forest; forest regulations apply. Directions: To reach South Fork Bonito from Roswell, take I-70 southwest to Highway 48 to Ruidoso. Take Highway 48 north out of Ruidoso for nine miles to Highway 37. Turn left onto Highway 37 and proceed to Forest Service 107. Turn left and follow Forest Service to the South Fork Campground turn off. Turn left and follow this road into the upper parking area. Forest Service Trail 19 starts there and follows the tributary for 6.0 miles. To reach South Fork Bonito from Alomagordo, take I-82/70 north to Ruidoso. Then follow the directions from Roswell. |
