The Sleepy Grass Campground offers 45 individual camping sites for tent and RV camping. There are paved roads to the campground, but the interior roads in the campground itself are gravel. The elevation of this campground is 8,720 feet.

Facilities: Tables, fire rings, drinking water, and restrooms are all provided at the Sleepy Grass Campground.

Reservations: Reservations are required at the Sleep Grass Campground.

Best Time To Visit: The Sleepy Grass Campground typically opens in the middle of May and closes sometimes after September.

Fees: An overnight camping fee will apply.

Rules: This campground is located within the Lincoln National Forest; forest regulations apply. RV's cannot exceed 16' in length.

Directions: To reach the Sleepy Grass campground from Alamogordo, take I-54 north to I-82 east to Highway 130. It's located off NM 130, 1.4 miles south of the village. Veer left onto Forest Road 24B.
