The Skyline Campground, located within the Lincoln National Forest, sits at an elevation of 9,000 feet. There are 17 individual camping sites offered. Maximum RV/trailer length is 17 feet.

Facilities: Restrooms, fire grills, and picnic tables are provided at the Skyline Campground. Water is not provided.

Reservations: Reservations are not accepted at the Skyline Campground.

Best Time To Visit: The Skyline Campground is open May 1 through November 1, depending on road conditions and snowfall.

Fees: There are no fees charged for overnight camping at this campground.

Rules: This campground is located within the Lincoln National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Directions: To reach the Skyline Campground from Roswell, take I-70 west to Highway 48 and Ruidoso. Follow Highway 48 north out of Ruidoso 4 miles and turn west (left) on Highway 532 for 1 mile. Turn north (right) onto Forest Road 117 for 4 miles. It is gravel and the last 2 miles can be rough.

To reach the Skyline Campground from Alamogordo, take I-54 north to I-70 northeast to Ruidoso. Follow Highway 48 north out of Ruidoso 4 miles and turn west (left) on Highway 532 for 1 mile. Turn north (right) onto Forest Road 117 for 4 miles. It is gravel and the last 2 miles can be rough.
