Deerhead Campground offers 34 family units for tent camping. There are paved roads to the campground, but the interior roads in the campground itself are gravel. The Elevation of this campground is 8,700 ft.

Facilities: Tables, fire rings, drinking water, and restrooms are all provided at Deerhead Campground.

Reservations: Some of the campgrounds at Deerhead Campground within the Lincoln National Forest do require reservations. Please contact the Forest Ranger for more information.

Best Time To Visit: Deerhead Campground typically opens in the middle of May and closes sometimes after September.

Fees: An overnight camping fee will apply.

Directions: To get to Deerhead Campground from Alamogordo, Deerhead Campground is located on NM 244 at the south edge of the village.
