The Yucca Canyon Trail gradually climbs the steep canyon walls for about 1.6 miles to the ridge top. It crosses the wash several times on the way up, watch closely for cairns.
Once on top, the trail levels off but becomes less visible. It is overgrown with grasses and is primarily marked with cairns. At the end of a large, fenced deer enclosure the trail forks to the left. Along this route there is also a rough connection with the Double Canyon overlook. Consult the map for details. This trail eventually joins the Guadalupe Ridge trail.
This trail is 7.7 miles one way, and connects with the Guadalupe Ridge Trail. The elevation change is 1,520 feet to the ridge top.
