Vietnam Veterans National Memorial

Constructed by the family of Dr. Victor Westphall, the Vietnam Veterans National Memorial was completed in 1971. It is supported through the generosity of veterans and other Americans who are dedicated to its preservation.
The memorial's textured surface captures the changing sunlight of the New Mexico air, giving the walls a play of color that is more vivid at sunrise and sunset. Inside the memorial, there is a nondenominational chapel and a tall, narrow window through which visitors look across the Moreno Valley.
