Tucumcari Historical Museum

The collections at the Tucumcari Historical Museum are located on three floors of the 1903 schoolhouse, containing a wide variety of artifacts and memorabilia from the surrounding area. Various rooms are based on themes and there are thousands of items on display. Four outdoor and indoor exhibits, located on our 45,000 square feet of native landscaped grounds, including the Historic Rt. 66 exhibit, depicting travel through Quay County on a mural by local artist Bill Curry. Scheduled events include the Annual Route 66 Celebration (July) and the Annual New Mexico Archaeology Fair (September). Contact the Museum for more details.
