| Sumner Lake State Park offers fishing for a variety of species, including bass, crappie, channel catfish, and the most abundant species, walleye. The lake is also a winter haven for migrating waterfowl. Nearby is the Civil War relic, Fort Sumner, with many special historical events and interpretation. Billy the Kid's gravesite also is close.Boating, swimming, water skiing and sailing are popular activities at the Sumner Lake State Park. |
