Sumner Lake Campground, located within the Sumner Lake State Park, is a popular summertime recreational area. This park offers fishing for a variety of species, including bass, crappie, channel catfish, and the most abundant species, walleye. The lake is also a winter haven for migrating waterfowl.
There are 50 developed campsites, 18 full hook-up sites, and an almost unlimited number of primitive tent campsites. Although this park is not located in a forest, there are some pinon trees and junipers trees scattered through the area.
