| The Spring River Parkway is a five-mile hard surface recreational trail suitable for cycling, jogging and pedestrian use. This trail follows the course of the Spring River along its west to east route through the city of Roswell starting in Enchanted Lands Park and continues to the Spring River Park and Zoo.This parkway has been and continues to be a major beautification effort connecting seven existing parks with continuing plans for future development as well as landscape enhancements.Parkway users have access to such facilities as Spring River Golf Course, Cahoon Park Tennis Courts, Cahoon Park Swimming Pool, the Sunken Garden, court games, Roswell Adult Center, playground equipment, Roswell Museum and Art Center, and the Spring River Park and Zoo.To assist with the development of the Parkway, the Spring River Foundation was established to accept donations for the building and beautification of the trail. All donations are tax deductible.Trail lengths are: Enchanted Hills to Spring River Zoo - 4.7 miles, Parks & Recreation Office to Spring River Zoo - 2.8 miles, Parks & Recreation Office to Enchanted Hills - 1.9 miles, Parks & Recreation Office to Sycamore Street - 1.4 miles. |
