The Scorpion - Upper Campground is the nearest campground to the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument. The Gila River runs nearby the campgrounds and is home to an abundant of wildlife.
This campground, surrounded by dense mixed conifer, provides five individual camping sites for tents.


Facilities: Restrooms, picnic tables, fire rings, drinking water, and grills are provided at the Scorpion - Upper Campground.

Directions: To reach the Scorpion - Upper Campground from Lordsburg, take hwy 90 northeast to hwy 15 north. Travel north to the Gila Cliff Dwellings Monument then travel half a mile more north.

To reach the Scorpion - Upper Campground from Truth or Consequences, take I-25 south to Highway 152 west, travel west to Highway 35 north. Travel north on Highway 35 to Highway 15 then travel north to the Gila Cliff Dwellings Monument then travel half a mile more north.
