Lake Roberts has become a popular place to fish for rainbow trout and catfish. Lake Roberts is located within the Gila National Forest. The Gila National Forest is well known for its abundant wildlife, numerous forest trails, Indian ruins, quaint businesses, local artists and the famous Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument, all in the unique Southwest.

Lordsburg travel north on NM State Highway 90, turn right on NM State Highway 152, travel to Mimbres. Lake Roberts is located 12 miles north of Mimbres on Road 35.
Truth or Consequences travel south on I-25, turn right onto NM State Highway 152, travel to Mimbres. Lake Roberts is located 12 miles north of Mimbres on Road 35.
